NY Times: "Cooper Becomes Loud Voice For Gulf Residents"

According to a June 17th New York Times story, Anderson Cooper has "spent more time in Louisiana--about 20 days--than any other national television anchor since the leak began." The article goes on to discuss how the oil spill coverage has been a "defining moment" for Cooper, who will address The Richmond Forum next season.

A limited number of season subscription tickets for the 2010-2011 season of The Richmond Forum are still available for $155, including all five programs: President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, former first lady Laura Bush, Anderson Cooper, Harvard geneticist Dr. George Church, and David Blaine. Subscriptions can be purchased online or by calling (804)330-3993.

Dr. George Church In The News

Back in March when we announced that Dr. George Church would be a part of our 2010-2011 speaker lineup many of our subscribers said, "Who??" But in the past few weeks they've been commenting about how they're seeing his name pop up everywhere. Well, now you can add the New York Times to that list. A new article titled On a Mission to Sequence the Genomes of 100,000 People profiles Church and his Harvard-based Personal Genome Project.

Church will discuss the "Personal Genomics Revolution" at The Richmond Forum on March 19, 2011 at the Landmark Theater. Other speakers for the 2010-2011 season will include President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, former first lady Laura Bush, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, and endurance artist David Blaine. A limited number of season subscriptions are still available for $155.
